For the past two years, we’ve been working with Hamilton Community Foundation to revamp their brand, build excitement around their 60th anniversary, and celebrate the community they love.
With the development of HCF’s new tagline “History made, future intended” we wanted to depict the promise of Hamilton’s future, while telling the story of HCF’s impact on the city throughout the brand collateral. This sense of history was achieved in part through the creation of the ‘Hamilton - Then and Now” photo series, crafted through the careful sourcing archive images and mashing them together with professional custom photography. Vintage nods are dispersed throughout the branded collateral to continue the story, while keeping each distinct piece recognizable and modern as the new Hamilton Community Foundation identity.
The look and feel has been extended to their last two annual reports, each unique in their creative execution. For the 2014 annual report, we featured stories and photography from key donors of the past 60 years and paired them with the impact their gifts still make today. For 2015, we brought the annual report stories to life through the use of audio in the printed realm. Each story featured a call to action to hear more on a dedicated HCF microsite. Interviews with key stakeholders related to each story, provided additional context to convey HCF’s mission, and the gifts of their donors.
We are proud to continue to work with HCF, continue to find inventive ways to tell their story.
