The food trucks are coming back to Sew Hungry. Canada’s largest food truck and restaurant rally is on Friday May 4, 2012 from 11am-3pm. 15 of Ontario’s best food trucks and six of Ottawa Street’s top restaurants will be serving lunch curbside.
“Sew Hungry is the only event where all the mobile trucks are on the street, serving curbside. It’s such a unique opportunity to work with the other food trucks and the restaurants, it’s makes it more authentic and it creates a great partnership between the street, the trucks, the merchants, the restaurants and the BIA. There’s nothing else like it” said Susan Austin, Gorilla Cheese.
The street food is delicious, innovative and creative. Food Trucks participating include Gorilla Cheese, El Gastronomo Vagabundo, Smokes Poutinerie, Toasted Tangerine, Blue Donkey Streatery, Caplansky’s Deli, Bonfire Catering, The Portobello Burger, Dobro Jesti and more.
Ottawa Str. restaurants serving up their own unique versions of street food include Café Limoncello, Poco Loco, Sestre’s Coffee Shop and The Cannon Coffee Company, Dora’s Deli and Helen’s Restaurant. Our Farmer’s Market will also be open for business.
I’ll be there! Will you?
