…but not you. Not yet. : )

Linda, the winner of our “What Was I Thinking” contest, with a re-brand prize value of almost $15000, visited the office today to take part in a brand presentation. We showed Linda copy, colours, logo, communications and website. I think she was happy. Take a look at the video from today.

Linda’s website will be launching in the next few weeks, so stay tuned.

…. and I’m stoked. The Discovery led to creative meetings, which led to brainstorming and brand development. This of course, led us to colour palettes, design choices and copy copy copy. The website is designed and the presentation is coming together. Thursday is when the re-brand will be presented to our lovely contest winner and now client, Linda Crawford. We’re always excited before we present a large brand development project to our clients, but something about this one feels extra fun. And here is where working with clients gets tricky.
We’re pretty confident that our tireless trend spotting research and timeless design, technical and literary efforts produce high expectations in our clients that we always over achieve. But there is still the question: Will the client like it?

I know the first “What Was I Thinking?!?” contest changed us all at kitestring. We see other local small business entrepreneurs with an even closer lens, and feel thankful that we can offer this kind of prize for a deserving small business starting out, who must have the passion it took to get kitestring off the ground and soaring.

Maybe the real question is, “How much will our client’s custom bra business change for the better because of this experience?”

Or is the real question, “How excited is Linda right now, too?”

Stay tuned.

Every time kitestring starts a branding project we meet with our client for about 3 hours for a discovery session. This may seem like  a long time, but really, when you’re with a bunch of fun creative folk, time flies.

What are we doing for 3 hours you ask? We go through a series of workshops, questions and games to really find out the essence of your business. This is the only way we can truly find out all there is to know about someones business and passion.

We had a lot of fun with Lynda. Take a look at the video to see some of what happened and what will happen in the next few week.

initial meeting

Part One: “Getting to know you” and “Game Plan”

Now that kitestring has its Contest Winner, we plan on blogging about our re-branding process on our blog. Linda Crawford, custom bra maker and huge supporter of the “Look Good Feel Better” program, met with kitestring late last week for an initial meeting. It is here where we understand the client’s story and get to know them on a personal level. Then we conduct a brand evaluation and a needs analysis. Linda was excited at all the options she had to get the most out of her Grand Prize winnings of up to $15,000 in kitestring creative bucks!

Around this time in the meeting, we’re ready to define project goals to ensure that the client will receive the marketing help they need. The kitestring team are big believers in the right solution, while this may not always be the easiest one. A timeline is then looked at and in this case, one of our kitestring workshops was booked for the following Tuesday.

Stay tuned for more!
